It has always been fascinating to watch customers in store going up to our stingray belts wondering what on earth they are. The way the skin glistens and the tactile surface texture is truly unique. However to get the skin looking and feeling this way is not simple - the surface of the skin is pure cartilage and unbelievably hard so we have to polish this down to make it soft and workable. The additional advantage of doing this is that the larger distinctive 'eye' (actually the centre of the spine) and the area around it absorb colour differently, giving a slightly two tone effect to the skin. This black belt can be paired up with all manner of buckles but we like the elegant simplicity of this prong design which importantly comes in a wonderfully unique matt gunmetal finish. With its slim cambered edges it has some style but it is the finish above all that is clever, matching in tonally with the black colour of the stingray to give us a contemporary 'all black' look. This is a really stunning belt that can be dressed down for casual wear or dressed up for a smarter more contemporary look. *Please note that stingray belts are made with joins - there will be 3 or 4 joins in each belt - this is due to the size of stingray skins which generally do not exceed 40cm in length*
